OH HAI THIS IS TILDE
i need to think of something to go here. maybe i should write about movies? have a preview:
one of my favourite movies of all time is the creature feature Night of the Lepus (1972). it’s a movie about giant killer rabbits that terrorize a small western town. it stars Stuart Whitman, Janet Leigh, Rory Calhoun, and DeForest Kelley (Dr. McCoy of Star Trek). it is all too serious for a movie that features adorable bunnies running in slow motion through miniature sets.
i first became aware of this cinematic treasure thanks to the movie The Matrix (1999). when neo visits the oracle, there's a tv set in the waiting room that shows giant rabbits galloping down a road at night:
i was so taken by this scene that i had to track down the source of that clip. it turned out to be night of the lepus. it wasn't until many years later that i was able to track down a DVD and finally watch it in its entirety.
