Hey! Im dean, and I love programming.
I usually prefer to program in python, but recently I have picked up, and started to dibble-dabble, in perl.
But why?My first perl script.To give one reason: The cgi module of python was removed in 3.13, and tilde.club runs on 3.14.7. Thus, for my plan(s) to play with python, cgi and POST/GET requests on tilde.club, I have to go through more hoops (and trouble) than I actually want.
And to give a second: While reading old computer books regarding HTML 4 and linux, I quite noticed perl. A lot. This peeked my interest.
Finally, third: Perl is kind of the 'standard' language of cgi; Thus it (probably) has great support!
Am I turning into a perl monk now?
