I like to go birding in my free time. It's fascinating to watch the variety of species change with the seasons and a bit alarming to see how distributions of certain species shift as more of the area is claimed by concrete and steel. But it is also just, generally, quite peaceful to watch a bird about its business.

I encourage you to go out, meet and learn the names of your feathered neighbours.

You can find out more about a bird in the table by clicking on its scientific name. This will open Wikipedia in a separate tab.
